The CHOIKS get their name from the word Choik naturally (that means Earthy in Greek) and from the word Choe a form of libation for the dead in which a liquid is poured into the soil.
They are representations using a variety of materials and techniques of the actual presence of geological formations combined with black forms that resemble holes in the earth or the entrance of caves, where figures can be seen.
